School Policies

At Channabasaveshwara Gurukula Public School, we believe in fostering a disciplined, respectful, and safe environment for all our students. Our policies are designed to ensure the well-being and academic success of every student. Adherence to these guidelines is mandatory for all students and parents.

Transportation Rules

To ensure a safe and respectful environment on the school bus, students must:

• Treat the School Bus and Equipment with Care and Respect:

  • Students are expected to maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bus and its equipment.

• Obey Rules and Regulations:

  • Follow all instructions set forth by the school during transfers.

• Keep Aisles Clear:

  • Ensure aisles are free of books, band instruments, and other items to prevent accidents.

• Remain Seated:

  • Stay seated while the bus is in motion for safety.

• Avoid Distracting the Driver:

  • Refrain from any behavior that could divert the driver’s attention and endanger others.

• Safety Protocol:

  • Do not extend any part of the body out of the windows or doors.

• Prohibited Items:

  • Laptops, MP3 players, iPods, and similar devices are not allowed on the bus.

• Transport Safety Committee:

  • A committee consisting of teachers, staff, high school students, and parents will monitor and report any incidents during transit. Refer to Transport Safety Committee Guidelines for specific roles and responsibilities.

• Consequences of Misbehavior:

  • Poor behavior, disobedience, or actions that endanger safety may result in the withdrawal of transportation privileges.

Assessment

• Active Engagement:

  • Students are encouraged to actively engage in learning activities.

• Conceptual Understanding:

  • Emphasis is placed on understanding concepts rather than rote memorization.

Policy for Late Comers & Leave of Absence

• Punctuality and Regular Attendance:

  • Pupils should be punctual and attend school regularly.

• Neat and Tidy Appearance:

  • All pupils should maintain a neat, clean, and tidy appearance.

• Mandatory Attendance:

  • Attendance is compulsory on the first and last working day of every term. Students should not be absent before the close and beginning of the term. Parents are requested not to extend vacations for any reason.

• Leave of Absence:

  • Reasons for absence from school must be stated and duly signed by the parent in the leave record provided in the diary.
